Privacy Policy

LinkPilot ("LinkPilot", "we", "us") is a product of Geminate Solutions Private Limited, registered in Surat, Gujarat, India. This policy explains what we collect when you use the LinkPilot web app and Chrome extension, why we collect it, and the control you have over it. We wrote it in plain language on purpose.

Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to everyone who creates a LinkPilot account, installs the LinkPilot Chrome extension, or visits thelinkpilot.com. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the service.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the product.

Account information. When you sign in with LinkedIn, we receive your name, profile headline, profile photo, and the email address associated with your LinkedIn account. We use LinkedIn OAuth, so we never see or store your LinkedIn password.

Content you create. The comments and posts you draft, edit, schedule, or publish through LinkPilot, plus the writing samples you choose to share so the tool can learn your voice.

Voice and personalization data. When you opt in, we analyze posts you have written to build a private voice profile. This profile is tied to your account and is never shared with or shown to other users.

Usage data. Basic product analytics such as features used, drafts generated, and error logs. This helps us fix bugs and improve the product.

Payment information. If you upgrade to a paid plan, our payment processor handles your card details. We receive only a confirmation of payment, your plan, and the last four digits of your card. We never store full card numbers.

How we use your data

We use your data to generate content in your voice, save and schedule your drafts, keep your account secure, process payments, provide support, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your private content to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.

LinkedIn data and OAuth

LinkPilot connects to LinkedIn through official OAuth. We request only the scopes needed to sign you in and, with your permission, publish content you have approved. Your access token is encrypted at rest. We never read your private messages and never access other people's accounts. You can revoke LinkPilot's access at any time from your LinkedIn settings.

The Chrome extension

The LinkPilot extension runs only on linkedin.com and on your LinkPilot dashboard. It reads the post you are looking at so it can suggest a comment in your voice, and it never publishes anything without you clicking the button yourself. It does not log keystrokes, track your browsing on other sites, or collect data from pages outside its declared scope.

AI processing

To generate drafts, the relevant content is sent to our AI processing provider over an encrypted connection. We have a data processing agreement in place that prohibits the provider from using your content to train its public models. Drafts are stored against your account so you can find them later.

Sharing and third parties

We share data only with service providers that help us run LinkPilot: our cloud hosting provider, our payment processor, our AI processing provider, and our error-monitoring tool. Each is bound by contract to protect your data and use it only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose data where required by law.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and content within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records (for example, invoices) for legal and tax purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can export or delete most of your data directly from your account settings, or email [email protected] and we will help. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand product usage in aggregate. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

International transfers

We operate from India and use cloud infrastructure that may process data in other regions. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Children

LinkPilot is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date below and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
